Pasta Putanesca

1 lb Cooked and Cooled Pasta of your choosing

1/4 cup of Olive Oil

1 Dozen of Garlic Cloves (Sliced Thin)

6 Basil Leaves (Chopped)

1/8 cup of Pitted Calamota Olives

2 tbsps Drained Cappers

2 x 24 to 26 oz canned italian Plum Tomatoes

Salt and Pepper


In a medium sauce pan add the oil and garlic turn

Heat to medium high and slowly cook garlic (Do not brown)

In a large bowl add tomatoes with juice and lightly crush tomatoes (Leave tomatoes in large chunks)

Add tomatoes to the garlic and oil

Season with salt and pepper and simmer over medium heat for 15 minutes

Add olives, capers, and basil

Add the cooked pasta to the sauce and cook for 5 minutes

serve with a garden salad
